Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, is the UK’s innovation agency. Their mission is to help companies to grow through their development and commercialisation of new products, processes and services.
Launched in April 2018, UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) is a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT).
They work closely with a broad and diverse range of voices from across the UK to inform their strategy development and to understand the priorities of stakeholders. They run regular engagement activities where members of the research and innovation community can tell them what they think.
They provide funding to:
- researchers
- businesses
- universities, NHS bodies, charities, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and other institutions.
