Norfolk Mushroomery are finalists for new product of 2025 Image

Norfolk Mushroomery is a small, family-run business based in Norfolk, specialising in mushroom products. What began during the pandemic as a way to grow mushrooms for our own use quickly blossomed, friends and neighbours started asking for mushrooms too. In July 2023, Norfolk Mushroomery was born. 

We began taking part in local farmers markets and food festivals, where we quickly discovered just how popular our mushrooms were. Customers often shared their culinary creations, which inspired us to develop our signature Mushroom Risotto in a Jar. Made with premium arborio rice, stock, onions, and our homegrown oyster mushrooms, it offers a convenient, one-pan solution for a delicious meal. 


We launched it at the Worstead Festival in 2024, where the amazing Chef Candi Robertson showcased just how simple it is to prepare in the cookery theatre. The product was a hit, particularly with those in rural communities looking for something quick, easy, and flavourful to keep in the pantry. To our delight, campers and holidaymakers also embraced it as a go-to meal option. 


This summer, our Mushroom Risotto was selected as a finalist in the New Product of 2025 category at the Speciality & Fine Food Awards. As a small business, we’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to gain exposure to a wider audience and connect with new partners through our growing wholesale offering. 


With the continued support of our local community, we’re excited to keep innovating and bringing more mushroom-based products to market in the future.
