What an excellent (and slightly exhausting! 😅) few days it's been. A busy start to the week, but the kind of busy that reminds me why I love what I do at Tastebuds Collective.

Early August Updates Image

Firstly, a huge welcome to our newest members:
- Saffire Chocolates Kathrin Funnell
- Norfolk Mushroomery
- Third Culture Kat Kumayl Sarwar
- SourcePro

We're thrilled to have you on board and can't wait to see what we achieve together.

I also visited St Giles House Norwich Stephen Wright and was completely WOW'd. The newly redecorated rooms are stunning, the team were exceptional, and nothing was too much trouble. The food was fantastic too... although sadly there is no photographic evidence because I ate it far too quickly along with a Big Drop Brewing Co! 🤦‍♀️

Keep an eye out, as we'll be hosting some exciting events there soon.

This week also included a great catch-up with new member Charlotte Chapman, discussing her fantastic "Brand for a Grand" package for members, alongside some exciting workshop plans and opportunities to mentor our student projects.

Talking of students, I met with the University of Suffolk Claire Maddy to explore even more ways of giving students real-world industry experience, not just textbook learning. Did you know Tastebuds Collective has supported 300+ student placements? It's genuinely one of my favourite parts of the job, and we've got some exciting new opportunities coming for food and drink businesses to get involved.

And finally, I met with Alexander Tosh at Creative Sponge, who has just become our creative partner of choice. We're already planning packaging design workshops in both Norfolk and Suffolk, and with over 20 years' experience, Alex brings a huge amount of expertise. More on that very soon.

Also Alex, apologies for the photo... I didn't exactly give you much warning! Although, I think the half-eaten carrot perfectly reflects our shared passion for growing our own veg. 🥕
